Dana Williams, principal photographer of Willowbrook Photography, has had a passion for photography for as long as she can remember. While studying abroad in Rome, Italy, during her junior year of college, she took a photography course learning how to develop and print her own film and prints along with learning and using her new-found knowledge about photography. She never considered doing anything more with her love of photo-journalism.

Fast forward to 2009 when she answered a Craigslist ad searching for photographer's assistant. This was to be just a one time job for a very large multi-faith wedding ceremony in Boston. She was only asked to carry equipment for the photographer, but she was allowed to take pictures as time permitted. Subsequently she was hired as an associate photographer in the greater Boston area and gained a wonderful mentor who took time to help her learn photo compusure and more about how the camera worked. In addition to the "traditional" wedding pictures, Dana gained much experience in documenting the details of each wedding during the 3 years she spent as an associate photographer.

Since moving back to her home town of State College, PA in late 2010, Dana has had the privilege of photographing many families and playing an integral part in special life events (including weddings, first birthday parties, engagements, etc...).

Dana looks forward to working with you, whether it is for your wedding day, high school senior portraits or holiday family pictures.
